No toughest storm can stop you Jessica! Happy New Year 2010!

Jessica Watson, the most courageous teenager in the world history today passes her 75th day of her targeted 23,000 miles voyage to become world’s youngest person in a bid to make non-stop, solo and unassisted hand sailing around the world, which could be considered as the Everest sailing. She was born on 18th May 1993 and currently lives at Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia.

The website http://www.jessicawatson.com.au/ reports on the 30th Dec that Jess encountered her first storm. It reports “Jessica battled wind gusts of up to 44 knots and over 5 metre swells, but we are pleased to report she has come through with flying colours, as her yacht Ella’s Pink Lady sped along at up to 10 knots at one stage. The wind has since dropped back to 25-30 knots, but the swell remains constant at over 5 metres.”

Jessica, of course, writes yesterday in her blogspot “The sea was really quite something. My best guess would be conservatively 5mtrs and far more amazing than any of the pictures or how I'd imagined it! The ocean in a state like that is downright spectacular and fascinating to watch, but I think it's really one of those things you have to experience first hand. I'm not sure I can really describe it and pictures really don't do it any justice.”

The youngsters of the present day world should learn from Jessica’s courage, firmness and endurance for setting records in different fields for making the mother-earth livable.

No toughest storm can stop Jessica. Jessica, keep sailing. We are with you. The year 2010 will bring success in your life.
